The WEPA Group is one of Germany’s most sought-after employers. This is the result of a study by the F.A.Z. Institute in which 10,000 companies were examined. WEPA reached first place in the paper industry.
“The study certifies that we are a highly attractive employer,” emphasizes Martin Krengel, Chairman of the Management Board. “We regard this award as a confirmation of our sustainable human resources policy, the core values of which have been lived in our company day by day out for more than 70 years”.
As a family business operating throughout Europe, WEPA offers an attractive working environment with international expertise that is characterised by innovation and team spirit. “In addition to value-oriented cooperation, the focus is also on individually tailor-made development opportunities for our employees”, explains Dr. Hendrik Otto, Member of the Management Board WEPA Group. The compatibility of family and career also has high priority.
Our employees have access to a wide range of individual solutions, working time models and services. “Our workplace health promotion, flexible re-entry after parental leave and ergonomic workplace design are examples of our efforts, which are becoming increasingly important. We discuss needs with our employees and constantly develop suitable offers for us,” reveals Dr. Benno Hundgeburt.
According to the F.A.Z. Institute, the study was to determine the respective employer performance. For this purpose, data was collected and examined in a multi-stage procedure. The main part of the scientific work was the evaluation of 6.3 million mentions of the 10,000 companies included in the study. Other evaluation factors that were analysed and also have an important role in evaluating the attractiveness of the company from the employee’s perspective were profitability, products and services, sustainability and management performance. WEPA also scored well in these areas.
